JS error in IE (Can't move focus to the controll because it's invisible)
Reported by Greg Bluvshteyn | January 26th, 2010 @ 10:42 PM | in 0.9.10 "Alekhine"
First of, great product. Haven't had so much joy for a really long time ( hey it's ruby :))
This is the error that I've encountered using IE6/7 ( Firefox
(as always) does not have this issue)
I've seen this problem from 0.9.8 to the latest versions of fat
free crm
- Create a lead
- open a lead from a list
Show action would produce an error:
Can't move focus to the control because it's invisible, not enabled or of a type that does not accept the focus.
I think it's because IE does not deal well with display:none and
for example when you show comment div#post is hidden.
Also, you will find a bit different but similar in nature issue
when you'd try editing a lead which you'd open through show
action.
There I was getting rjs error related to not being able to find
edit_lead div which was hidden using the same style.
I've fixed it in my version of your application but I had to do it quick and dirty so I'm kind of ashamed to provide a patch.
Thanks again.

Greg, thanks for your post. IE is not "officially" supported and I'm accepting any IE-related patches, even if they are quick and dirty. I'll make it all look good before merging to the core :-)

We have noticed this issue too, and would appreciate a look at the patch. Wouldn't mind spending time fixing it up for you.
