/tasks behaves different from the other tabs

Not sure if this is a bug or by design.
Campaigns, Leads, and other tabs, shows all (via public permission) leads, contacts, and campaigns.
While the /tasks tab, however, only shows the current user's tasks.
I've tried to find a way to make them public but looking at the source code for the Task controller it shows that it's only filtering for the current user. In other words, the tasks/ page is blank because I haven't created any tasks.
Is this intended?
As a manager I'd like to see everyone's activity to monitor, coach, and interpret production/efficiency yadda.. yadda... yadda..... :)

I was actually about to post this same request. My company has sales meetings every morning and would love to have FFCRM up on our screen when reviewing everyone's Pending tasks in one list, and be able to sort them by due date just like the current function of the Pending Tasks feature. Perhaps this could be viewable by Administrator accounts only?
