Contacts & Leads phone number and email not syncing

When I create a lead with phone number and email filled out and convert it to an account, and open up the lead in the account, the "contacts" doesn't have the same information as the "leads" did. I have to re-enter phone and email details for example on the "contacts" page.

    I checked it out, and this is actually how I've designed it. The phone/email information gets transferred from the lead to the contact. The account (or company in other words) most likely will have different phone and email address, so that's why I'm leaving it blank.

    I think this is an important capability, actually. In many cases the person that completed the lead form on our site will be one of the contacts for the company too, and I often am finding myself looking though both the leads and contacts records to find which has the cell phone, home phone, etc.

    I think they should be synced, and it may even make sense to display the leads notes on the contact page as well, for future reference.
