Reporting mechanism

Reported by Wai-Sun Chia | October 24th, 2009 @ 12:45 AM | in Feature Requests

I'm actually successful in pushing for the commercialization of FatFree, but there are many requests for reporting which is non-existent in the current system.
It'd be a great boon for consulting houses (like myself) and other system integrators, if there's a mechanism that doesn't require coding to build reports for the end-users. For example, some of the most often requested reports:

  1. Top accounts in descending sales by month (choose month)
  2. Top sale persons vs. $ closed sales by month (choose month)
  3. Top sale persons vs. conversion rate by month (choose month)
  4. Top opportunities in descending value by month (choose month)
  5. Top referrals vs. contact by month (choose month)
  6. Top campaigns in descending leads by month (choose month)
  7. Top campaigns in descending closed sales by month (choose month)

One more vote for the Reporting section!

For me, reports is one of the key benefits of a CRM system. Recording your sales activity is just half the battle. Once there's enough data there, trends begin to emerge. Patterns that help us focus on campaigns that generate results, raise our awareness of the traits of a Lead that often results in a dead end. Information like this is invaluable to a business because it complete the feedback loop and helps them change how they work based on previous performances.

So, Reports would be a huge bonus for FFCRM. I know the guys at 37signals don't do them, but they're missing a beat here. CRM is all about figuring out what works, what doesn't work and then refocusing more energy on the stuff that works. And that's hard to do without Reports.

Iarfhlaith, I'm with you 100%. Thinking about "big rock" features I feel like plugin infrastructure and i18n are both in good shape, dropbox/email integration is my current focus, and reporting/analytics are coming up next.

It would be great if you could flesh out specific requirements, i.e. what kind of reports/charts are "must have".

Retractable awnings are usually made entirely of fabric. You can choose from different styles, including roll-back and barrel-top. The fabric is attached to a series of pulleys, Retractable awning are operated by an electric motor that’s installed in the wall of your home or in an adjacent structure such as a garage. When you want to open or close the awning, you simply push a button on your remote control device, which operates the motor and moves the fabric up or down over your patio or deck area.
